Intersolar Europe, the world's leading trade fair for the solar industry and its partners, takes place every year in Munich. The exhibition focuses on photovoltaics, solar power plants and grid infrastructure, integration of renewable energies and solar thermal energy. The trade fair was founded in 1991 and has established itself with a certain tradition in the sector - it is now the most important platform of the solar industry. This is where service providers, manufacturers, wholesalers and other players of the industry meet. The fair is accompanied by a conference, which offers a good overview of the news and current topics of the industry. Intersolar Europe is one of four trade fairs which takes place under the trade fair concept "The smarter E Europe" - the innovation platform for the new energy world - together with three other trade fairs: ees Europe, Power2Drive Europe and EM-Power.
In 2019, Intersolar Europe together with the three other trade fairs of "The smarter E Europe" attracted a total of 1,450 exhibitors and more than 50,000 visitors.
