The Internationale Grüne Woche (IGW) will take place for the 85th time in January 2020. It took place for the first time in 1926, 94 years ago, and was founded in Berlin in the Golden Twenties. Its history makes the IGW a unique international exhibition for alimentation, agriculture, and horticulture. Every year the IGW offers international product markets for aliments and semiluxury food, equipment for agriculture and kitches and much more. The strong presence of agricultural and economical political delegations, national and international, turns the Internationale Grüne Woche to a must go for the whole agricultural economy.
As expected, the 85th International Green Week 2020 attracted more than 400,000 trade fair and congress visitors. It also set a new record in terms of exhibitor numbers: 1,810 exhibitors from 72 countries travelled to the IGW 2020 and presented the latest products, concepts and innovations to visitors on 129,000 m² of hall space.
In 2021 the International Green Week will take place for the 86th time. The following 23 theme worlds have already been announced for 2021:
The sophisticated supporting programme of the fair offers numerous events. From congresses, professional discussion rounds and specialist seminars to symposia, a total of over 300 events are offered, giving participants an overview of the most important and current issues in agricultural policy.
