The hanseatic fair of Rostock was opened in 2002 and has since hosted over 2,500 vents with 4.5 million visitors. The fair building was developed by the renown architecture bureau Gerkan, Marg & Partner in Hamburg. The fair halls have a space of 10,600 m² and the outdoor area is roughly twice the size.
All in all, the Hanseatic Fair curates up to 18 fairs each year. One of the most popular is the RoBau, the biggest construction trade fair in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Furthermore, GTM Germany Travel Mart, the biggest incoming-workshop for the travel country Germany, as well as the conference for the hotel & gastronomy business.
Besides the Rostock Fair, there is also Rostock’s city hall, which predominantly hosts concerts, shows and sport events.

The city of Rostock is located in the north of Germany and is well connected through a motorway. From BerlinFrom Berlin , take the A19 and the B105 through the Warnow-tunnel (toll charge). Then, take the first exit called HanseMesse. From HamburgIf you are coming from Hamburg, take the A20 and the B103 (west-feeder). Then follow the parking guide system. From HannoverFrom Hannover, take the A7 and 24 to the A20. From there, take the exit Warnowalle/B105 and follow the guide system. From MagdeburgFrom Magdeburg, take the A2 and A19 to the B105. Then, take the exit Groß Klein/HanseMesse/Schmarl. Now, you just have to follow the signs.p> |
Rostock Airport Rostock-Laage airport is roughly 40 km from the fair. To the fair locationFrom the airport, you can take the rebus 127 to the central bus station (ZOB), which is located next to the main station. A single ride costs 9.80 € and takes 35 minutes. From the main station, take the S1 in direction Warnemünde Werft to the stop Rostock-Lütten Klein. Afterwards, it is still 1.7 km to the fair. The ride takes roughly 22 minutes. TaxiA taxi rides takes a 26 minutes and costs roughly 69 €. |
