The Leipzig Book Fair is one of if not the most important event for the book and media industry taking place in spring. Over 270,000 visitors are to be expected and more than 2,600 national and international authors, readers and publishing houses will join in order to exchange views and ideas and discover the news of their respective industries. From nonfiction to audio books, comics and books for children to specialist books and educational media there will be everything available and nothing left to desire.

In the light of a consolidating Europe the main focus of this years Leipzig Book Fair lies on east-, middle- and southeuropean literature. In addition you can, amongst others, find nordic, french and israeli literature aswell.

Numerous readings, technical lectures, panel discussions, advanced training courses and award ceremonies complete the fair.
