CHIO Aachen 2020 [VERSCHOBEN]

The CHIO Aachen is the World Equestrian Festival. Not only the greatest equestrians meet every year on the traditional show grounds - the CHIO Aachen has for long been an international event with a high prestige value. Stars from show, sport and media as well as great figures from politics and economy enjoy the event for a prestigious meet and greet. With a history dating back to 1898, Aachen is for equestrian sport what Wimbledon is for tennis and Wembley is for football. Only in Aachen there is a stadium exclusively for dressage - the exceptionally modern Deutsche Bank Stadium with a capacity of 6,300 spectators.

CHIO Aachen 2019 attracted 365.00 visitors. In total, there were almost 1,000 horses at the event, 600 of them competitive sport horses and 400 show horses. Even though the primary focus was on equestrian sport, there was an exhibitor area with approx. 230 exhibitors on a total area of 22,500 m² (incl. gastronomy). 340 riders, drivers and vaulters from 30 nations took part in the 2019 competitions.
In five disciplines, the best equestrian athletes in the world will compete against each other again in 2020: Jumping, dressage, eventing, four-in-hand carriage and vaulting. The official partner country of CHIO 2020 is Japan.

The Deutsche Bank Prize in Dressage in the Deutsche Bank Stadium and the ROLEX Grand Prix for show jumpers in front of 40,000 spectators, church services, the opening and farewell celebrations as well as the Horse & Symphony are just some of the upcoming events.
