DGKJ-Jahrestagung 2020 [ABGESAGT] in Berlin

The annual conference of the DGKJ is the Congress for Child and Youth Medicine. With its first event in 1904, the series of DGJK Annual Meetings brings with it a remarkable tradition. It deals with the news and future topics of the department, making the event the best place to get an overview of the current state of research. The accompanying industrial exhibition provides the appropriate, practical counterpart and presents the latest innovations and instruments.

In 2020 the annual conference of the DGKJ will take place for the 116th time. The annual conference will be held together with that of the Society for Child and Youth Rheumatology. The main topics this year are:

• Movement
• Inflammatory processes/Inflammation
• Genetic diagnostics and therapies based on them
• Digital change in medicine

A special focus is also placed on addressing socio-political issues, for example the provision of resources and thus funding for paediatrics and youth medicine. And as in every area of medicine, the digital change with all its opportunities and risks is of particular importance.

The supporting programme of the event will include various workshops and symposia in all participating paediatric subdisciplines. To refresh the programme, a science slam and a charity bicycle tour as well as early educational symposia are planned, which should make the event more attractive especially for young colleagues in training.
