Optatec 2020 in Frankfurt

Optatec is the international trade fair for optical technologies, components and systems. Founded in 1992, it takes place every two years and is aimed exclusively at trade visitors. At the fair, everything revolves around industrial optics. International companies present the industry's future technologies in the fields of optical components, optomechanics, optoelectronics, fiber optics, optical fibers, laser components and production systems. As an international high-tech showcase, the leading trade fair is a publication platform for world firsts and product premieres.

Optatec 2018 attracted a total of 5,800 trade visitors from 45 different countries. They sought advice from the 540 exhibitors from 32 nations on products, innovations and services. In 2020 Optatec will take place for the 15th time. This year's focus topics are optics and photonics. Sustainability as well as climate and environmental protection will be given increased importance this year.

As part of the trade fair's supporting programme, the exhibitor forum will be held with specialist presentations on current and relevant topics. In the SPECTARIS workshop visitors can obtain information and in the technology park young people and those interested in technology will gain valuable insights into research.
