The joint conference of the DGHM (Deutschen Gesellschaft für Hygiene und Mikrobiologie) and the VAAM (Vereinigung für Allgemeine und Angewandte Mikrobiologie) takes place annually.

The DGHM 2020 in Leipzig is the 72nd of its kind. It also is the 6th time that the DGHM and the VAAM take place together. The following main topics have been defined for the event:
