DGU Kongress 2020 in Leipzig

The Congress of the German Society of Urology, DGU Congress for short, is the most important event on this subfield of medicine in German-speaking countries. The congress takes place every year and had its first event already in 1907. Thus the DGU congress can count itself among the oldest still existing congresses.

The 72nd DGU Congress will take place in Leipzig in 2020. The congress motto "Urology 2020 - it's time" will focus on the general pressure to make decisions, which is currently weighing on all players in medicine. The digitisation of medicine, the concrete handling of artificial intelligence as well as the expansion of strategies for early detection in urology play a decisive role here. 

Awards, scholarships and honours will be presented as part of the supporting programme of the congress. These include the awarding of the: Alexander von Lichtenberg-Prize, Dora Teleky-Prize, Ernst-Fürstenheim-Funding of Ambulatory Research Projects, Film Prize, Research and Innovation Prize for Urological Oncology, Leopold Casper-Prize, Maximilian Nitze-Prize, Promotion Prize of the German Society for Urology, Publication Prize for Andrology of the Working Group Andrology of the DGU, Urologia Internationalis Prize, Lecture Prizes, as well as the Wolfgang Knipper-Prize.
