The VLB is short for the Versuchs- und Lehranstalt für Brauerei in Berlin. It was founded as an association in 1883 and still serves its original purpouse - to promote the brewing industry today. Every year it organises various congresses and conferences as well as further education courses.
In 2020 the 107th VLB Brewing and Mechanical Engineering Workshop takes place.
The program consists of various seminars, lectures and an accompanying trade exhibition.
