HORIZON Mainz 2020 [ABGESAGT]

The HORIZON is the event for orientation after the Abitur. It stands for study and career orientation for high school graduates. However, the offer also includes topics such as student financing, scholarships, gap year, internship, au pair, work & travel, voluntary service, dual studies or studying abroad and thus covers the entire period after the Abitur. Students have the opportunity to obtain information from national and international universities, companies, colleges and organisations. The event is suitable for all those who want to prepare for their time after graduation.

At HORIZON 2018 in Mainz, around 2,800 motivated visitors came to the more than 90 stands to get advice from the exhibitors on their educational offers and services. It was already the 12th HORIZON in Mainz. In a special forum on the subject of "Studying in Rhineland-Palatinate", visitors were able to find out more about the local offerings. There were also interesting and innovative offers for visitors who were interested in training opportunities, for example from the Rheinhessen Chamber of Crafts, the Central Customs Office in Koblenz and the Games Academy.

The supporting programme of the fair included around 54 workshops, lectures and talks. The HORIZON lottery gave visitors the opportunity to win great prizes such as dresses for prom or other great prizes with seven correctly answered questions.
