NordBau Neumünster is Northern Europe's largest compact trade fair for construction. It was founded in 1956,takes place every year and has been cooperating with its partner country Denmark for over 40 years. The fair covers the entire spectrum of the building industry. Modern construction elements and materials as well as high-performance construction machinery, municipal equipment and commercial vehicles are presented here, along with the latest energy technology. The expert audience of the fair consists of engineers, companies of all trades, housing companies, building material retailers, municipalities, building authorities, chambers, housing companies, associations as well as public and private builders.

Nordbau Neumünster 2019 was the 64th event of the trade fair brand and attracted 836 exhibitors from 13 countries, who presented their products, concepts and innovations to 62,600 visitors on a hall area of 20,000 m² with an additional 69,000 m² of open space.

The trade fair is accompanied by an extensive congress programme. Technical contributions, further training, seminars and conferences, as well as forums for innovation, specialist conferences and special shows filled the programme. The fair was opened by the Prime Minister of Schleswg-Holstein, Daniel Günther, the Ambassador of the Republic of Finland, Anne Sipiläinen, the Ambassador of Denmark, Friis Arne Petersen and the Honorary Consul of Norway, Detlef Palm. Under the umbrella term "WISSENschaf(f)t Lebensräume" there were the following special topics and seminars:
