The Blickfang Stuttgart is an international design fair. It takes place twice a year and was founded in 1995. The trade fair is also being held at four other locations besides Stuttgart: Basel, Vienna, Zurich and Düsseldorf. Not everyone can exhibit at Blickfang - a jury of design specialists selects the designers for each event. Attention is paid to both design and production quality. The fair is the largest shopping platform for independently produced design in Europe. This means that the designers do not cooperate with the producers, but are responsible for their designs from the very first second.

More than 17,300 visitors came to the Blickfang Stuttgart 2019. They were introduced to and advised by the 160 designers in their individual artistic worlds. Every year more than 650 designers participate in the various locations of Blickfang and together they can attract more than 70,000 visitors. At Blickfang Stuttgart 2020, the range on offer will be divided into the following five categories:

• Lights
• Furniture
• Fashion
• Jewellery
• Home accessories

The Blickfang Design Award will be presented for the following categories within the supporting programme of the trade fair:

• Fashion & Jewellery
