The "veggie" and the "frei von" appear as a trade fair duo and form the leading trade fair for enjoyment and health "veggie & frei von". Nutrition alternatives are being presented, for example for meat-free nutrition or allergen-free food without additives. The fair offers an ideal platform for vegetarians, vegans and people suffering from allergies and takes place each year in Stuttgart. The vegan & frei von is a trade fair open to the public and is also aimed to all those working in industries related to the fair's main topics. Thus, for example allergologists, natural heath professionals, ecotropholigists and nutritionists as well as people working in the food service industry find relevant topics and a platform for networking and exchange.
In 2019 veggie & frei von was able to attract a total of 140,000 visitors. They sought advice from the almost 15,000 exhibitors on their products and concepts.
