The wire is the world's most important trade fair for the wire and cable industry and takes place every two years in Düsseldorf. Market leaders, challengers, traditional groups and newcomers meet at the fair to find out about innovations in the fields of machinery, equipment and smart manufacturing. The thematic areas of wire 2024 are automotive, construction, telecommunications, chemicals, gas and oil. In addition to live demonstrations, wire offers numerous services, lectures and workshops. In 2024, Tube, the trade fair for the tube and pipe processing industry, will be held at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Center in parallel with wire.

At wire 2022, 1,822 exhibitors from more than 50 countries presented themselves to the numerous international visitors on 93,000 m² of exhibition space. The range included wire products and manufacturing technology, wire manufacturing and wire processing machinery, cable, fastening and spring manufacturing technology including end products and mesh welding machines. In addition, visitors were able to find out about the latest products in measurement, control and testing technology. The focus was on the current challenges of the international energy turnaround and the associated demands on machines and systems. In addition to impressive live demonstrations and trade show premieres, end products from the Fastener and Spring Making Technology divisions were also presented for the first time.
