bpt-Kongress 2024 in Hannover

The bpt congress is one of the most renowned training events for practicing veterinarians in German-speaking countries. Every year, it is organized by the Bundesverband Praktizierender Tierärzte e.V., or bpt for short. The professional program includes ATF-recognized continuing education courses for small animal, equine and farm animal practice, food safety and practice management. In addition, a one-day continuing education course specifically geared to veterinary nurses and veterinary assistants will be offered.

Accompanying the bpt Congress will be a veterinary trade fair, professional practice advice, job fair and a get together.

The last bpt Congress 2023 in Munich was a complete success with over 2,000 participants. The specialist program attracted 1,979 veterinarians, 151 students and 55 veterinary assistants from five countries. A total of 181 speakers from science and practice gave presentations on current topics. The accompanying trade fair was sold out with 136 exhibiting companies from 10 countries. In addition to the specialist presentations, professional policy also played a central role, in particular with the adoption of a resolution on the planned amendment to the Veterinary House Dispensary Ordinance (TÄHAV)
