re:publica Hamburg 2025

re:publica Hamburg x Reeperbahn Festival 2025 will present a compact, two-day program on September 18 and 19, 2025, as part of the Reeperbahn Festival—this year for the third time on the Reeperbahn in Hamburg at the Schmidt Theater. The event is aimed at an audience from the digital economy, culture, politics, and online movements, and is a spatially and thematically focused continuation of the re:publica festival in Berlin.

The event will focus on the following main topics:

• Artificial intelligence & regulation of large Internet companies
• Digital democracy, internet culture & media innovation
• Deepfakes, data use, online communication & ethics
• Culture and pop: podcasts, music journalism & creative industries
• Live podcasts, panels, meetups & networking in a festival-like atmosphere

The program includes talks, discussions, live podcasts, and meetups on current issues relating to digital development, internet policy, art, and pop and media culture. Initial speakers such as Anna Dushime and Janosch Delcker will address topics such as online dating, the power structures of big tech, and visions for the future of AI development. The daytime events run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and require a valid Reeperbahn Festival ticket for admission.
