Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe 2026 in Hamburg

Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe 2026 will take place from October 20 to 22, 2026 at the Hamburg Messe exhibition center and is considered the world's largest trade fair for hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. The event brings together the entire hydrogen value chain and focuses on solutions and innovations for low-carbon hydrogen production, efficient storage and distribution as well as applications in various stationary and mobile areas.

Main topics of the trade fair:

• Strategic framework conditions, regulation and financing
• Production of green and blue hydrogen
• System integration and infrastructure development
• Design, development and production of fuel cells
• E-fuels and hydrogen drives
• Carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS)

In 2025, the trade fair recorded 15,000 visitors, 827 exhibitors and 250 speakers. A particular highlight is the new Ammonia Zone, which focuses on the role of ammonia as an energy source. The Carbon Capture Technology Expo Europe will take place in parallel with Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe, creating synergies between hydrogen and CO₂ capture technologies.
