Leipziger Tierärztekongress 2026

The 13th Leipzig Veterinary Congress will take place from 15 to 17 January 2026, at the Leipzig Exhibition Center. The largest continuing education event for veterinarians in Germany is organized every two years jointly by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Leipzig, the six veterinary associations of the states of Berlin, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Brandenburg, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia, and Leipziger Messe. The congress offers veterinarians of all specialties and other veterinary professional groups a professional platform for the exchange of information on animal-specific and interdisciplinary topics.

Parallel to the Leipzig Veterinary Congress, the vetexpo trade fair will be held at the exhibition center. The exhibition areas include:

The 12th Leipzig Veterinary Congress 2024 attracted some 6,900 trade visitors from 24 countries. The technical program included more than 500 expert lectures, courses and symposia on changing animal-specific topics. At the parallel vetexpo, a total of 329 exhibitors from 17 countries were represented, presenting products and services for the entire spectrum of the veterinary profession on an exhibition area of 15,000 m².
