light + building 2028 in Frankfurt

At the leading trade fair Light + Building, the industry will present new approaches to lighting and building technology. The Light + Building 2028 is the meeting place in the industry for current lighting trends, intelligent building technology and security across all disciplines.

The focus will be on digitally innovative technologies, current lighting trends, the intelligent electrification and digitalisation of home and building technology and networked security technology. In addition, there will be the opportunity for personal contact at the fair.

The last edition attracted approximately 144,767 trade visitors from 143 countries. A total of around 2,000 exhibitors showcased their latest technologies and solutions.

The top topics in 2028 are:

• Sustainability: Efficient energy management in the building sector in combination with renewable energy sources, as well as a special focus on photovoltaics and energy storage technologies.
• Connectivity : The focus here is on the digitalization, networking and security of future smart homes and smart buildings.
