Temporary Staff – Trade Fair Support (ISPO Munich)

Company: Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC)
Location: IHF - Cologne

HKTDC is looking for reliable and outgoing temporary staff to support our team at the International Hardware Fair. Candidates should meet the following criteria:

'
Duties & Expectations
- You as our booth assistant will switch between 2 roles:

'

Role #1 – Help at the HKTDC Info Counter

  • Help our Hong Kong exhibitors with questions about the exhibition or the venue
  • Provide stationery & serve coffee and snacks to our exhibitors
  • Distribute flyers and promotional materials to business visitors
  • Collect business cards and complete standard contact forms for follow-up by our staff
  • Ask visitors to give us their contact information and consent to contact them
  • Refer any interested visitors to our on-site staff for business matching meetings
  • Keep the booth clean and make sure the water kettles, coffee machines, and snacks are refilled

Role #2 - Visit Specific Exhibitors at the Fairground

  • Approach and speak with selected exhibitors to:
         1. promote HKTDC
         2. collect their business cards & ask them to give us their consent to contact them
         3. distribute flyers and promotional materials
  • Accurately record contact details and feedback from conversations
  • Invite visitors to our booth and explain how to access our exhibitor list via QR code

Candidate Requirements

  • Must be physically fit and able to walk and stand for extended periods
  • Punctual, responsible, and well-organised
  • Fluent in both German and English; additional European languages or Chinese are a plus
  • Professional appearance and grooming; clean business attire required, preferably dark colour, no wardrobe provided by us. 
  • Friendly, confident, and approachable personality
  • Able to work independently and follow detailed instructions
  • Possess a cell phone & willingness to use a messaging app (esp. WhatsApp)
  • Prior experience in trade fairs, customer service, retail, or hospitality is an advantage
  • Quick to learn and adapt to new tasks
