„Meine Haupttätigkeit war das Spülen der Gläser. Wenn möglich, durfte ich als Runner die Gläser einsammeln, Getränke und Eis aus dem Lager holen, Zitronen und Gurken für die Cocktails vorbereiten. Das auffüllen der Bargläser am Zapfhahn und an der Cocktailbar gehörten ebenfalls zu meinen Aufgaben, was durchaus Spaß bereitete.“
