Die Firma wurde im Juni 2000 auf Grund der Musicalproduktion “Streetworker“ in München gegründet und arbeitete zunächst im Bereich Künstlervermittlung unter anderem für den Kika, ZDF und Pro 7 sowie für zahlreiche freie Filmproduktionen. Hierbei legte das Unternehmen stark den Fokus auf den Bereich Förderung von Newcomern im Schauspiel-, Gesang- und Modelbereich. Mit zahlreichen Coachingprogrammen und als Dozent der Triagon Akademie (Fachbereich Event & Musikmanagement) ist der Inhaber Marco Licht seither ein gefragter Partner auf diesem Sektor. Auf Grund der erfolgreichen Künstlervermittlung kam im Jahr 2005 der Eventbereich dazu und entwickelte sich zu einem weiteren Kerngeschäft. Hier ist das Unternehmen vor allem für Einkaufscenter und Großunternehmen, sowohl in der Planung, der Realisierung als auch in der Dokumentation und Nachbereitung tätig. Seit Februar 2016 ist das Unternehmen in Augsburg ansässig und bietet zusätzlich für Firmen, in Zusammenarbeit mit Kooperationspartnern, die Erstellung von Werbefilmen und Fotoreportagen an. Im März 2019 startete die Streetworker e.K. den Betrieb der Office & Medien Garage Augsburg. Der neue Coworkingspace, mit Online-Buchungssystem, im Herzen von Augsburg bietet nicht nur Medienschaffenden ein Fotostudio und einen Konferenzraum, sondern gibt auch allen die kurz oder langfristig einen ruhigen und zentralen Arbeitsplatz suchen die Möglichkeit dazu. Zukunftsweisend möchte das Unternehmen der Kreativwirtschaft neue Impulse bezüglich Nachwuchs und Zusammenarbeit mit Politik und Wirtschaft geben und veranstaltet in Zusammenarbeit mit der Office & Medien Garage selbst zahlreiche Vorträge, Seminare und Events.
