As the world's largest public fair for board, parlour and party games, the Internationale Spieltage SPIEL has been setting standards in the games industry for 36 years. Every year the trade fair gives visitors the opportunity to get to know the entire spectrum of national and international games. As the industry's most important meeting point, the fair is also the perfect platform for the market launch of new products. The entire range of games will be on show, including parlour, family, adult and children's games as well as strategy, adventure, role-playing, fantasy, miniature, science fiction games. Electronic games and toys can also be found. The special concept of the fair is that interested visitors have the opportunity to play the products exhibited at each stand.

Last years Internationale Spieltage SPIEL '18 attracted 1,150 exhibitors from 50 nations, who presented their products on 80,000 m² of exhibition space to 190,000 visitors.

An extensive supporting program ensures an all-round successful trade fair experience. Most exhibitors organise small and large competitions. Authors sign their games at special stands, introductory game sessions will be held aswell as championships and tournaments, exhibitions and LIVE role-playing games can also be experienced. Unions will inform about their respective games, for example about Chess, Go, Backgammon and many more. The German Games Prize will also be awarded.
