DOG Kongress 2022 in Berlin

The 120th DOG Congress will be held in Berlin from 29 September to 02 October 2022. This year it will be held in a hybrid format, so that interested people from afar can also participate in the program. Important focus topics are "Regenerative Medicine" as well as "Ecological Sustainability" in Ophthalmology. A special highlight will be the guest lecture by Prof. Ottmar Edenhofer, who will address the global climate challenges in relation to ophthalmology.

The DOG, Deutsche Ophthalmologische Gesellschaft e.V., is the medical-scientific professional society for ophthalmology in Germany. Its members include more than 8,000 scientists, researchers, clinicians and practitioners.

The supporting program includes a diverse mix of technical program, industrial exhibition and entertainment. While top-class lectures, symposia and discussions by renowned speakers will bring ophthalmologists from clinics and practices up to date on the latest developments in science and research, the exhibition area will provide an overview of innovations in the industry. In addition, the Surgical Saturday format will be introduced for the first time, where developments in cataract, retinal and corneal surgery will be presented and objectively evaluated by renowned experts. Entertainment will be provided by the evening program with DOG in Concert - Benefit Concert for the Eye Foundation, the DOG Society Evening and DOG Clubbing.

Due to the Corona pandemic, the last two DOG Congresses were held in digital format.
