FGSV Kongress 2022 in Dortmund

The Research Association for Roads and Traffic (FGSV) invites you to the German Road and Traffic Congress in Dortmund in 2022. The main topics this year will be compliance with climate protection targets, sustainability in construction technology, availability and safety, and the allocation of scarce traffic areas for a traffic turnaround.

Since its foundation in 1924, the FGSV has been responsible for the technical regulations for the entire road and traffic sector in Germany. In order to ensure the further development of technical knowledge in the German road and traffic sector, administration, industry and science work together intensively.

The series of topics at the FGSV Congress 2022 are:

• Traffic planning on the way to climate-neutral mobility.
• Current developments in construction practice
• Who owns the city - competition for space in the face of changing mobility?
• Sustainability - building technology taken a step further
• Sustainability - building materials and construction methods
• Cross-cutting issue of maintenance management - further development for a valuable infrastructure
• Cross-cutting issue of Building Information Management - Where do we stand with the road in terms of BIM?
• Availability and safety of federal trunk roads - new guidelines
• Current topics in traffic telematics and traffic data acquisition - Better traffic management
• Environmental protection and occupational safety in road construction

A special highlight of the technical program will be the keynote speech "Mobility of the Future" by Prof. Axel Hahn, Director of the Institute of Systems Engineering for Future Mobility at the German Aerospace Center (DLR). On the final day, the Climate Forum will discuss with the help of the audience the tasks and opportunities for achieving climate protection goals within the industry.

Accompanying the FGSV Congress, the trade exhibition "Roads and Traffic 2022" will be held in the Westfalenhallen in Dortmund. Here, national and international experts from the fields of road and traffic planning, road construction and traffic engineering or environmental technology come together and present the latest products of the industry.
