IPM 2020 in Essen

Internationale Pflanzenmesse (IPM Essen), the world's leading horticultural fair, takes place annually in Essen. With its many years of existence since the first event in 1983, it can look back on a very special trade fair tradition. The entire value chain is represented here - from plant production, equipment, technology and floristry to sales. IPM Essen offers a unique overview of the market and its innovations in the form of the latest plant creations and innovations as well as trends in floristry. With plants of all kinds, from cut flowers to perennials to ornamental and vegetable plants, the entire variety of plants and flowers is represented here.

In 2019 IPM Essen attracted more than 54,000 trade visitors, who were thrilled by the more than 1,500 exhibitors from 46 nations and their products on an exhibition area of 105,000 m². A total of 65% of all exhibitors came from abroad and gave the world fair its international flair. The main topics were: Plants, technology, floristry and equipment.

All trade visitors were also treated to a varied supporting programme with various events, demonstrations, live shows, lectures and cooking events. Amongst those were: Green City, IPM Discovery Center, Training Day, International Horticulture Forum, FDF-World, Green Career, Galabau Outlook and the Forum Career + Future. The International Plant Fair will also be represented with other events in Beijing, Dubai and Bangalore.
