We had booked Ms. B. for a simple copy-and-paste typesetting job, in which an existing and fully designed InDesign file with English text was to be exchanged for French text. All files were made available as is customary in the industry and Ms. B. was briefed accordingly. After completing the order, we received a completely unusable document and overtime was also recorded and invoiced. In response to questions about the quality of the work done, we received a lot of creative but incorrect content accusations and excuses, what would all go wrong with us, etc., but no usable results. We then awarded the job to another person. Everything was done perfectly (under the same conditions, mind you). This also happened in a shorter time (3h), so here we assume that the fault was not ours (except that we advertised a remote position on this platform, since this is not InStaff's focus). We find it a great pity to have had this experience, especially since it is not a problem if there are difficulties, but then simply waiting instead of picking up the phone and proactively looking for solutions is unfortunately not an option for Ms. B. Instead, we would rather agreed to charge extra hours (exactly the maximum that is possible per day) and blamed everyone else for the obvious lack of professional competence. We can therefore only strongly advise everyone against working with Ms. B., unless you want your specialists, who employ you because of their expertise and experience, to have to be taught in a brazen way by a student without significant knowledge.
